Doctor it only hurts when I Do This
The comical response is, "So don't do that!!!" If what makes "it" hurt is standing, sitting, or especially, breathing, we are in trouble. For back pain sufferers, all these things and many others are painful. Back pain sufferers are forced to change their lives when they are "down in the back". Favorite activities become memories and busy people can be stopped dead in their tracks by back pain.

I'd rather break my arm
I can honestly say, without reservation or fear of someone disagreeing, that a whiplash injury is one of the most painful and most frustrating musculo-skeletal and soft tissue injury a person can receive in an auto accident.

MY FEET ARE KILLING ME
The American people are always on the go. We rush from place to place to complete those important errands. We'll run to catch a taxi, a bus or a train. Then, there's our after work jog that has become almost a religious commitment for us.

What do these examples have in common? You're right! They all put pressure on our feet. When we run, we put stress on our feet. When we walk, there are those feet again leading us wherever we go!

Car Accident, Neck & Back Pain Years Later
With current legislation mandating the use of seat belts, an increased number of neck and back injuries have been reported when seat belts are used. While these injuries may be less significant than in unrestricted accidents, health care providers must address these potentially lifelong problems and not dismiss them as merely "Whiplash". Many cases of tension headache and Cervical Migraine may be the result of a neck injury that may have been forgotten or simply dismissed as trivial by the patient-according to a study published in Spine. In the article, Dr. MacNab reviewed 266 cases and found at least 45% continued to have symptoms 2 years following the settlement of court actions. Most people that are involved in "minor" rear-end collisions do not realize the potential for injury to the spine. If pain does not immediately ensue, the incident may be forgotten.
