BlockM-borderThis is very interesting. Most people consider the University of Michigan Health System to be the Golden Standard of medical research, technology and patient care, attracting some of the best and brightest minds from all over the world. We are truly fortunate that this beacon of excellence is in our backyard. While searching their website, I found out what they think of Chiropractic care and their advise for people seeking it out. Here are their tips and not surprisingly, we resonate with every one of them!
“Try to interview one or two Chiropractors before you start treatment”

LOOK FOR SOMEONE WHO:

– Is willing to coordinate treatment with your doctor or other health care workers.

– Will tell you about home treatment and exercises.

-Diagnoses problems with a physical exam, an interview and x-rays if necessary.

-Is willing  to refer you to a specialist when needed. This may include an orthopedist, a neurosurgeon, or an oncologist for further testing, or a registered dietician for nutritional counseling.

-Uses slow gentle manual techniques

For 27 years we have treated countless individuals. There are many that have been beyond our scope of practice and those patients are immediately referred to the right specialist, or sometimes the emergency room. Working hand in hand with the medical profession for the patients benefit is paramount in our office. We can’t be all things to all people. We know our limitations and also have created a deep network of physicians and facilities we trust for your benefit. Sometimes, it does take a village. We have your best interests in mind.
